Shidduch World was created solely for the purpose of facilitating Shidduchim in as efficient and confidential manner as possible. All information given to Shidduch World, including e-mail addresses, will be held in confidentiality. Use of this site by visitors or members for anything other than facilitating Shidduchim is fraudulent, and will warrant proper consequences. No information from this site may be transferred or shared with others unless it is for the purposes of finalizing a Shidduch.

No individual may enter a single’s information without prior agreement from that single; phone numbers must be submitted for confirmation purposes. All users agree to post only factual, true information. Users who post false information will be automatically removed from the list of applicants for a minimum of three months.

Shidduch World reserves the right to update this site at any time; we will generally inform our users via e-mail if we are undergoing a change or missing information.

Please Note: The following is a legal agreement between you, the user, and Shidduch World. Please read all of the following information carefully. Use of Shidduch World as a member indicates full acceptance of the following terms. Terms of membership agreement are subject to change at any time without notice, at the discretion of Shidduch World.

Eligibility

Registered members must be eighteen years of age or older, and currently in the process of actively pursuing Shidduchim for themselves or others. Membership of the service is void where prohibited. By using this service, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority and capacity to enter into this Agreement and to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

Term

This Agreement will remain in full force and effect while you use the service and/or are a member. Either you or Shidduch World may terminate your membership at any time, for any reason; no explanations required from either party. Shidduch World reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Shidduch World service, without notice at its sole discretion for any reason. Even after Membership is terminated or the Agreement breached, relevant portions of the Agreement will remain in effect.

Membership

Membership at Shidduch World is available in the following ways:

1. Singles may register by entering their personal information
2. Parents may register on behalf of their children, by entering the child’s personal information
3. Friends or relatives may register on behalf of singles by entering the single’s personal information, GIVEN THE SINGLE’S EXPRESS PERMISSION. Shidduch World reserves the right to contact singles thus registered in order to confirm their agreement.
4. Friends or relatives may register on behalf a single using the single’s personal pass code, ASSUMING THE SINGLE PROVIDES THE USER WITH THIS INFORMATION.

The Member agrees to provide accurate, factual, true, current, and complete information, both on his or her profile as well as on all other portions of the site. The Member is not required to fill in all fields provided in the profile; however, no information may be deliberately skewed by omission. The Member agrees to update his or her information as necessary, rendering it current, complete, and factual. If information posted by a Member is false, incomplete, or outdated, Shidduch World reserves the right but not the obligation to terminate the account, and to bar the Member from future access and membership. Members may only maintain ONE account and profile on Shidduch World. Members maintaining multiple accounts or memberships are subject to any and all legal and disciplinary actions undertaken by Shidduch World, subject to United States law.

Membership to Shidduch World is free, and allows users access to create a profile and search our database. Hire a Shadchan services are subject to applicable fees. By utilizing Hire a Shadchan services, the Member provides Shidduch World with the right to automatically renew membership unless otherwise specified by the user.

Content

Shidduch World reserves the right but not the obligation to monitor and/or delete any and all content and postings located anywhere on the site at its sole discretion, at any time and for any reason. All content that Shidduch World deems: offensive; illegal; immodest; not in accordance with the standards maintained by Shidduch World; will be deleted. Users posting such information may have their membership terminated or may otherwise suffer disciplinary action on the site.

Shidduch World takes no responsibility for the accuracy or propriety of any content displayed on the site. Information posted or shared by the user remains the sole responsibility of the User alone.

Members who post content on any public area of Shidduch World automatically grant, and warrant that they have the right to grant, Shidduch World with the irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive and world-wide license to distribute and display such information.

Statements, advice, opinions, offers, or any other content posted on the Shidduch World site by contributors not directly hired by Shidduch World remain the responsibility of the authors alone. Shidduch World retains no responsibility whatsoever for Content made available through the site. Shidduch World will under no circumstances be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred by individuals as a result of reliance on the Content of the site. Shidduch World does not retain responsibility for personal information posted on the site, other than information deemed confidential. Please choose the information posted on your profile with care.

In keeping with the above, Shidduch World prohibits the following types of content from being posted:

• Offensive content, including content promoting racism or hatred of any kind
• Content that is not deemed appropriate according to the standards of Torah Jews today, as applied by Torah scholars
• Content that harasses or causes harassment of any individual
• Content that could be labeled Lashon Harah, Rechilus, or Ona'as Devarim as they are identified in Torah law
• Information that is false, misleading, illegal, abusive, or libelous
• Content that transmits spam, chain letters, or any other unsolicited mass communication
• Content containing or linking to unauthorized copies of copyrighted works, including articles, music, and computer programs
• Content that solicits or encourages commercial activity unauthorized by Shidduch World
• Content that is in any way immodest or explicit

Users posting any of the above types of content will be subject to disciplinary action and may have their memberships terminated and/or be permanently barred from the site. Individuals who post inappropriate material that causes damage to Shidduch World's image or integrity agree to pay Shidduch World a fee of $5000 per violation, even if the damage is not immediately apparent.
No information posted on Shidduch World may be used for any purpose other than facilitating Shidduchim.

Advice

Shidduch World may post or provide content from experts who address Shidduch questions and advice. In no way should these statements be taken as professional advice for any particular circumstance. A competent professional should be consulted by the questioner in case of doubt.

Limitations on Liability

Users of Shidduch World understand and agree to the following:
Shidduch World does not ensure the personal security or privacy of any member as a result of the member’s contact with another individual through the Shidduch World service. Although extensive steps have been taken by Shidduch World to ensure the accuracy of information, it remains the obligation of the member to verify any and all information.

Shidduch World is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising out of use of this service, whether via online communication, telephone calls, meetings, or any other encounters. Shidduch World retains no responsibility for physical or emotional damages or distress, or financial losses incurred as a result to the use of this service.

Although Shidduch World strives for the highest standards of confidentiality, Shidduch World cannot be held liable for breaches of security or privacy regarding any information released by the member via internet or messages.

Shidduch World is not responsible for use by others of information provided by the member, and will not be held liable for abuses on the part of other uses. Please choose the information that you disclose with care.

Shidduch World does not assume responsibility for the content of messages, profiles, or other information posted on the site.

In no event will Shidduch World be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of data, loss of programs, cost of procurement of substitute services or service interruptions) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Shidduch World service, even if Shidduch World or its agents or representatives know or have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Shidduch World’s financial liability under any circumstances will be limited to the amount paid by the member for services received via this site.

Use of Service

Members of the Shidduch World service and site understand and agree to the following:
Shidduch World may reject any profile or photo that does not conform with Shidduch World’s rules and standards. Shidduch World need not inform the member of the rejection.
Shidduch World reserves the right to maintain contact with its members via email. Emails may include requests for tefillah, updates, promotions, or any other message deemed appropriate by Shidduch World. Members agree to receive Shidduch World email communications of all types.
Mass e-mails by anyone other than the direct agents of Shidduch World are strictly prohibited. The use of the Shidduch World database for mass emails by anyone other than a Shidduch World agent will be dealt with in accordance with the proper legal actions.

Shidduch World retains no responsibility or liability for the deletion, corruption or failure to store any messages or other Content maintained or transmitted by the Service. Features, parameters or other services provided by Shidduch World may change at any time.

When speaking to Shidduch World’s customer service Employees and Matchmakers on the phone, or in communicating with them by any other means, members undertake not to be abusive, obscene, profane, offensive, threatening, or harassing in any way. Should any of Shidduch World’s customer service Employees or Matchmakers feel, at any given point, threatened or offended by a member’s conduct, Shidduch World reserves the right to immediately terminate membership without refund of any service fees.

Membership may be investigated and/or terminated if the member abuses the site or service in any way. The following is a partial list of the type of actions that are illegal or prohibited under this Agreement:

• Impersonation of any person or entity
• Harassment of any person
• Assumption of Shidduch World’s endorsement of any statements without written consent
• Use of robots, spiders, site search/retrieval applications, or other manual or automatic devices or processes to retrieve, index, “data mine”, or in any way reproduce or circumvent the navigational structure or presentation of the Service or its Contents
• Distribution or reproduction of copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without prior written consent by the owner
• Disruption or interference with the site or servers and networks connected to Shidduch World
• Unauthorized usage of a password or login identity other than your own Transmission of material containing viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment
  Use of information or any other part of the service without prior written consent

Use

Shidduch World is designed for the personal use of individuals only, and may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors. Companies, businesses, and organizations may not become members of Shidduch World or use the Shidduch World content in any proprietary way. All such uses will be considered fraudulent and will be dealt with accordingly through the proper legal channels.

Proprietary Rights

Shidduch World owns and retains other proprietary rights on the Shidduch World website and the Shidduch World service. The website contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, and other proprietary information of Shidduch World and its licensors. In addition, other members may post copyrighted information, which has copyright protection whether or not it is identified as copyrighted. Except for that information which is in the public domain or for which members have been given permission, members may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display, "Reverse Engineer" or sell any such proprietary information.

Conflicts

Shidduch World reserves the right, but not the obligation, to monitor and investigate disputes between its members and/or agents. Nevertheless, users are held solely responsible for all interactions and disputes between themselves and other members.

Confidentiality

Our Privacy Policy governs use of Shidduch World and its services. The personal information (including sensitive personal information) provided by the member will be stored on computers. The member consents to Shidduch World’s using this information to build up a profile of interests, preferences and browsing patterns, and to allow the member to participate in the Service. All Members also agree to uphold and maintain Shidduch World’s privacy policy and to the terms and conditions thereof. By becoming a member of Shidduch World, members consent to their data being sent to the United States and to such other third parties as may be involved in the provision and operation of the Service.

Disclaimers

Shidduch World is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate Content posted anywhere on the website including in correspondence between members and users, whether caused by members, users, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the service, nor for the conduct of any user and/or member or Shidduch World staff member whether online or off-line. Shidduch World does not guarantee delivery of mail nor does it guarantee a response from members contacted through its service.

Shidduch World assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user and/or member communications.

Shidduch World is not responsible for any technical problems or malfunctions relating to hardware, software, or internet connections.

Shidduch World will under no circumstance be held responsible for any damage or loss resulting from any use of the website or service, or any of its affiliated links and content.

Shidduch World and its accompanying services are provided As Is; Shidduch World takes no responsibility for merchantability or fitness of use for any other purposes.

Shidduch World does not guarantee, warrant or promise any positive results through use of this service.

Shidduch World does not guarantee that any defects in the service will be corrected.

U.S. Export Controls

Software from this website is subject to United States export controls. No software from this website may be downloaded or otherwise exported or re-exported (i) into (or to a national or resident of) any Country to which the U.S. has embargoed goods; or (ii) to anyone on the U.S. Treasury Department's list of Specially Designated Nationals or the U.S. Commerce Department's Table of Deny Orders. By downloading or using the software, you represent and warrant that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any such country or on any such list.

Modification of Agreement

Shidduch World maintains the constant right to change any and all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement at its exclusive discretion. Shidduch World may consign this Agreement to its successors, affiliates or appointees at its sole discretion. Rights and obligations arising under this Agreement are not transferable by the User onto any other individual.

Survival

Shidduch World’s limitation on liabilities, any representations and or warranties provided by you, all indemnity provided by you, and all provisions governing any conflict between you and Shidduch World will survive the term of this Agreement.

Disputes

The User agrees that any disputes in relation to this Agreement will be resolved in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey. The User agrees to bring any and all disputes before a reliable Halachic Beis Din agreed upon by Shidduch World before approaching a United States court of law. Shidduch World will never be held accountable for any cost, expenses, or legal fees incurred by the User.

Indemnity

The User agrees to indemnify and hold Shidduch World, its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, matchmakers, those endorsing the site, other partners and employees, harmless from any loss, liability, claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, sustained or made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the Service in violation of this Agreement and/or arising from a breach of this Agreement and/or any breach of your representations and warranties set forth above. This indemnity shall be applicable without regard to the negligence of any party, including any indemnified person.
Acceptance
This Agreement is automatically accepted by the Member or Visitor upon use of the Site.
